More pictures...

Here are some great pictures I got today of Brendan holding Annaliese (never mind the screaming baby)...

Brendan seems fine in the photo above and then in the next picture you can tell he's ever so slightly getting a bit stressed (see the smile disappeared)...This was his first time he wanted to hold Annaliese so I couldn't say no. I made sure he knew she was hungry and "loved" being held by big brother Brenbren. Brendan is finally paying attention to her which is a big step! He's a sweet boy and finally opened up to me (without me even prodding) the other night at bedtime. He told me how "ronery" (lonely) he was when I had to go to the hospital and have Annaliese. He was so mad at the doctors for making me stay there when he wanted me home with him. He said he was also upset I went for a car ride (I had really gone for a walk) with Grandma Belt when he took his nap. I told him I wouldn't have any more children and would be home with him from now on. He got upset I wasn't having anymore children (thanks to his PawPaw telling him Mama should have a boy baby so it would be even)...so I just talked over that (because that ain't happenin' unless there's some miracle) and he fell asleep hopefully knowing he could wake in the night with Mama coming when he calls. I love this age where they are able to express their feelings instead of just whine or cry and I am left to decipher what they are feeling/needing. But really...how do people find time to make sure each child has one-on-one time with one of the parents when there are more than three? I barely make into Trinity's room in the evening to talk over the day without being interrupted by sweet motor-mouth Brendan. Thank God she's patient and doesn't mind waiting up for me. Time to get dinner on (I let Brendan have one piece of chocolate so I can not have whining as we prepare dinner) and later I will post some more pictures.
