Praise!

Annaliese got her eyes checked out yesterday and it looks to the pediatric eye specialist that she can see well and everything is healthy!! Praise God!! He told us that this pupil deal is from one of three things...congenital (it's something she's born with and probably got through someone in the family-although we don't know anyone who does ), it's from delivery issues (specifically having the shoulder broken to allow the baby to be born-which didn't happen and he says he rarely sees anymore), or from a type of cancerous tumor that can grow and press on the nerve that attaches to the eye (which he says he doesn't see any sign of). He just told us that usually the tumor will show signs at the same time as the eye is contracted (small) and a droopy eyelid (ptosis) as well. He said that only two times in his 30 years of practicing has he seen the pupil contracted and everything look healthy and then a month or two later the drooping lid occurs (which is indicative of the tumor pressing the nerve). So we have to go back in a month just to make sure and if we notice her eye squinting or drooping we are to call immediately. But!...I have faith everything is going to be fine and this is just her special thing (I mean we all have something that no one else has right?!). I love her and think she is gorgeous and am very happy with the report! Praise God...I'll write about what are we doing tomorrow!
