Science Art Project

In home school there are times when my skills, let's just say in art, don't come up to par with what I would like to teach Trinity and eventually Brendan and Annaliese.  For example, this is my example of what I would like her Air and Water Cycle Art Projects to have in them:

As you can see if you click on the picture I am not an artist and never claimed to be an artist.  My sisters and my mother and Craig have the art gene.  Me...not so much.  So I did what I could with my limited ability and I do this often in science as I try to demonstrate with drawings something I want Trinity to understand.  I usually get a laugh out of Craig who asks me what some of my pictures are.   That's ok I laugh at myself.  So let's see how Trinity did with my example:
This is the Water Cycle

The Air Cycle

Here's a picture up close of the actual cycle

I think she mimicked my drawing/cartoon of the girl breathing out CO2 and breathing in O2 pretty well don't you?  I mean she even labeled the mountains, the big fish and the streams and pond.  I had to tell her to draw arrows in the direction of what's going in her nose and out of the plants.  I really can't tease her about her artwork abilities because I think she takes after me...actually I'm sure she's still better at it than me.  And Brendan is already better than me.  Take a look at his picture.  He wanted to create an air and water cycle:

Hopefully they continue to get better in their artistic abilities.  Unfortunately for me it looks as if I'm stuck at the level of a 4 year old.  Ha!
