Whirlwind

Now that Craig's been back at work for about a month this week and she graduated from 3rd grade today I might start getting a little breathing room to blog, set up play dates for the kids and I, maybe take a nap or two-ok who am I kidding.  Yesterday, I decided we would hit the mall because after two years of thinking I was a horrible Mama for losing Trinity's Build-A-Bear gift card that she got for her 7th birthday I found it stuck in my wallet pocket.  I couldn't have been more excited and annoyed at myself at the same time.  It had that sticky gunk on the back that adhered it to the paper portion of the card.  Anyway, when Annaliese was cleaning out my wallet one day I found it and told Trinity and Brendan we would go to the mall when she was out of school.  We've only had a few more pages of math and science and history left so I decided to go earlier and we had a good time.  Although Trinity turned beat red when the cashier was telling her to kiss the heart and do this and that to the heart before putting it in their animals.

Here are there animals:
Trinity with Jackie (she thought you spelled it Jakie and then attempted to cross out the name with ink...needless to say Jackie needs a new bone tag)  She got this one because it reminds her of Chippy-just not so smelly
Annaliese likes Jackie too She sticks out her tongue and pants like a dog whenever she sees anything that resembles a furry critter now.  It's adorable.
Here's Annaliese's and Brendan's animals.  Annaliese got the bear with curly hair like hers and we named it Curly (I know so original) and Brendan wanted a Tiger with an LSU t-shirt but they only have them on-line right now so maybe for his b-day.  He got the Wolfie instead and named it Searchlight in honor of the book Trinity is reading about a boy who enters a race with his dog and best friend Searchlight to pay off his grandfather's tax debt and save their farm.  (The dog dies of heart failure right before the finish line and the little boy carries the dog across the finish line while this big burly man who wanted to win the race won't allow anyone to cross the finish line until the little boy and his beloved dog finish the race).  But he just calls the wolf Wolfie.  And Annaliese pants at him too.
All in all we had a good time!
