Long time no blog post

I haven't blogged in a couple weeks thanks to a cold virus that knocked all of us out of commission for a while, getting home school curriculum and planning together, birthdays every weekend, and now little Annaliese being pretty sick last week.

I'm sure you all know that Annaliese has been diagnosed with a UTI per her urine culture last week AND after having such a high fever the pediatrician wants to have her go through the voiding cystourethrogram.  Say that a few times together!  Craig and I have shortened it and a few other names we are learning to VCOG.  Why can't anyone in this family have a simple name of some type.  Ok, I won't complain because cancer is simple and is much worse.

So on from here we have an appointment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Radiology satellite office in Alpharetta on Tuesday morning at 8:30am.  All your prayers for sweet Annaliese and what she will have to endure while being restrained is sought.  I dread that the most.  I have been catheterized and have had to catheterize myself and undergo all kinds of testing and surgeries for my interstitial cystitis BUT I am a big girl not a 14 month old that can understand the need for all this.  Besides I can't say even being a big girl I would really want to put myself through all she is going to endure even if I did understand.  So please prayer warriors-pray for my sweet girl and for us!

On another note I have been scheduled for surgery on the 20th of August at 9am.  My doctor wanted to do surgery as early as two weeks but I need to make sure I have a sense of what is going on with Annaliese before I'm laid up for two weeks.  The surgeon sees a large cyst on my ovary and my uterus is retroverted again causing my unrelenting back pain.  He believes there is endometeriosis behind my uterus but couldn't see clearly on the ultrasound so wants to see through the laparoscopy.  Again prayers for that surgery and God's wisdom for my surgeon.

And a last note, one of my friends has told us about a church we are going to try.  Cherokee Baptist off 41.  I'm really excited and Craig is praying about it.  It's a small church but they seem to have the same kind of structure and make-up that we loved at First Baptist.  I can't wait to see how it is and I pray we finally find a new church home.  I miss church terribly.  AND they have choir practice on Sunday afternoon which means I could even join the choir!!  Hallelujah!

I have pictures of my birthday coming up but I'm on Craig's computer and I don't want to upload all my pictures onto his computer...so another day!  I'll keep everyone posted on Annaliese's results which I pray we'll have by the time she goes to the pediatrician for her vaccine catch-up appointment on Thursday next week.
