My birthday

So I turned 35 on the 7th and I feel exactly the same.  But Craig gave me the best birthday ever.  He went to Whole Foods and bought me Teeccino and a little mug with a filter so I can have it in less than 2 minutes.  I can't have coffee because of my IC bladder so this was such a sweet treat for me.  AND he bought me donuts.  I have uncaringly called my husband once a dessert Nazi because he does NOT like sugar in the house.  But for my birthday he treated me to my favorite Krispy Kreme's.  So yummy.  I think I ate more than half the box...I think.  Then he and the kids made me a chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream cake from scratch.  Unreal.  And he made me some yummy roasted red pepper and basil spaghetti and meat sauce.  Again, I can't have pasta sauce made with tomatoes or much cream from alfredo (which I don't care for anyway) so he made this delicious dish for me since spaghetti and meat sauce is my favorite.  He also got me some yummy garlic bread rolls from Target.  Oh my they are so good.  Ok enough about the food.

Craig has always supported me through all my autoimmune diseases and illnesses that he's had to endure with me through our marriage even before being diagnosed.  He thinks I do too much and doesn't always agree with the way I push myself to feel "normal".  But the gift he gave me showed again how is my biggest supporter and encourager-even if he doesn't always agree with me.  I told him that I want to run a 5K, 10K, half marathon, triathlon, and then marathon.  He said, "why?".  He doesn't get why anyone would want to do that.  But for me it's about saying, "yes I have all these diseases, but they are not who I am.  I am not going to let them take over my life and leave me without dreams and hopes."  So he bought me a Garmen Hear Rate monitor with Satellite tracking.  This will allow me to watch my heart rate, my miles, my endurance.  It gives me even more motivation to be the person I was before all the diseases took hold of my body.  I will never be the fastest competitor and I may have to walk the marathon, but I am NOT giving in.  And to know my best friend is on my side cheering me on is the biggest blessing.

The kids got me a bird book because we love bird watching in our backyard.  And they bought me a watch that I got to pick out since my old one from Target died for the fifth time.  This time I wasn't going to resurrect it.  My new one if gorgeous!  I am spoiled beyond belief and am so thankful!
On my birthday morning with my new watch!
