School's in session-Finally!

We started preschool and 4th grade last week and overall it went really well.  Brendan is loving cutting and pasting and learning his numbers and alphabet.  We do story time and I have to say I had a great time making and eating (emphasis on eating) our peanut butter with mini m&m's to go along with If You Give a Mouse a Cookie book.  And Annaliese and the dogs had a great time eating them too.

I think Annaliese is going through some growth spurt or maybe has a parasite because she is eating every hour!  I feel like between school time and snack time and then cleaning up after crumby kids I barely have time to breathe.  I can't imagine doing three homeschooled kids at once but I know I can rely on God to make it all a success!

Here are some pictures of "school/snack time":

So we are super busy!  I have my post-op check next week to discuss my surgery, check my sutures, and discuss care for my health issues.  I'm praying he will give me the go ahead to work out again as I've worked super hard to lose 66 lbs!! WOW!  AND I am really praying he will prescribe me Elmiron and let me do instillations of heparin and lidocaine from home for my bad bladder.  But we'll see since he's not a urologist he may have to refer me.

And on another note we are slowly getting our house back to normal since we couldn't afford to do anything with it for two years.  We replaced our $3/pair redi-shades that were dry-rotted and had duct tape on the holes.  It's so nice to have real blinds now!!  Next up we have repair the busted pipe in the garage which leads to pressure washing the house, eventually replacing all the corroded outdoor lights, spackeling and painting the house, and even further down the road replacing all our nasty carpet and vinyl flooring.  I still can't believe the builders put carpet in the bathroom.  So gross!  But at least we have a house and bathroom!! :)  I told Craig that I want to fix up our bedroom and the patio into a nice little retreat for us.  We've been here 10 years and still haven't bought a comforter set nor painted our room or bathroom.  I think it's time.  And I envision a parisian/neworleans type patio that my hubby and I can go sip hot tea and hold hands watching the stars after the kids are in bed.  I know I have lofty ideas but I'm ready for more hubby and wifey time sans kiddies.  All in due time!
