New kitties

Trinity has been saving up her allowance and tooth fairy money and birthday money for two years now to buy an animal from the shelter.  Two weekends ago they had a free adoption at the Cherokee County animal shelter.  If you happened to buy a second animal it was $50.

So Trinity and I had our hopes set on finding a black kitty because we knew there is a stigma (think bad luck) associated with this color cat even though they are known to be very laid back.  We found a precious black kitten that Trinity immediately fell in love with and nicknamed Batman because his ears were huge.  Then I couldn't decide on any specific one.  I really wanted a girl kitten but I kept falling in love with the boys.  Then Craig saw this very sweet and loving brown and black tabby that was a polydactyl kitty- known as Hemingway cats.  Ernest Hemingway bred them when he lived in Key West, Florida.  I have always wanted one of these cats because they are so rare and just cool.  So he came home with us too.  So much for any girls!

These are our new additions:
This little guy we named Twinkletoes (we call him Twinkie, and alsoToe-cheese,  Big Foot, and Butterfinger)
This is Batman...can you see the resemblance?  And he meows like a bird chirping.  So weird but he is really sweet and reminds me of our beloved Meow Mix who died last year.  But we all admit he is much much sweeter than Meow Mix ever was.
 The boys love to play
He was really hard to get a picture of...he is very curious and always into mischief.  He teaches Twinkletoes all the tricks and Twinkie cries if he can't do it until we assist him.
Twinkie is one of those awesome rare cats that will let you do anything to him.  He loves to be held in your arms on his back and have his tummy rubbed.  He is truly a baby.  He will follow you around and meow until you pet him or pick him up.  He Gnocchi are best buds already.

Princess is still with us and is 13 1/2 and going strong.  But having to replace our entire bottom floor with wood flooring and rip up all carpet downstairs because she peed on the carpet every night and went ballistic when we crated her to prevent accidents makes me not want another dog for a very long time.  She can't hear at all or not unless you scream really loud and she also can't see well.  I love her very much but I will never get another Pomeranian.  I need a laid back low maintenance animal.  NO HYPER DOGS AGAIN!!  And with my work load teaching two children, caring for a 2 1/2 year old with no patience and always wanting attention, and of course all the animals and house Craig and I are saying no to any new additions at this point. Our cup runneth over.
