First Geography Project-Pacific Islands

Trinity is doing a really interesting and fun Geography course this year that spans the Pacific Islands to Asia for this year.  Her first project after completing her research assignments was her choice.  There were many different options and whichever she chooses has a different points earned amount.  She chose to learn about volcanoes and how they erupt then do a mini-presentation and demonstration on her own model volcano. How fun!!

Here are some pictures from her presentation on Saturday.  Yes we do home school on weekends too.  But most of the weekend is oral presentations, field trips, and catching up on any reading assignments.

Before eruption (Brendan wanted to see but he also got interrupted from watching Thomas Engine on TV)
 It works!
Annaliese wants to have her picture taken too...she's so cute!
 Brendan looks enthralled
Home school is very cool and very fun!  I wish someone could have taken a picture of Brendan and I during science time last week.  We learned about air and did a race to see who could move a sheet of paper with us pushing air around the paper -it had to cross the finish line.  Brendan was bent on winning (he's very competitive) and he decides to kick the paper and throw it across the finish line.  Yes, he won but I soon learned my lesson on future games/races: explain the rules VERY VERY specifically before we "GO"!  What a mess!
